Job description

Department:Parks & RecreationPosition Reports to:Senior Center Manager Pay Grade:2Employment Type:Part-timeExempt/Nonexempt:Non-exemptDescription:Under the direction of the Springville Senior Center Manager, the Event Host represents the Springville Senior Center (SSC) in providing gracious and attentive customer service to rental parties and their guests. This is an on-call position, with varying hours from 0 - 10 per week, with evenings required.Duties:Represent the SSC and Springville City in a positive manner.Provide superior customer service to rental parties, vendors, and their guests.Ensure the rental party, vendors, and guests conform to SSC policies.Assist in overseeing the security of the building during rental events.Assist the rental party in cleaning, setting up and taking down the event (chairs, tables, etc.) at the facility before, during, and after events.Demonstrate professionalism and maturity.All other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have strong interpersonal skills. Must have at least one (1) year of experience in customer service. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESMust have the ability to work well with others. Must have the ability to do basic cleaning of a facility and set up and take down folding chairs and tables to specified diagrams.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, bend, stoop, walk, and lift. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.Drug screen and background checks performed
