Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will take on various responsibilities that are critical to our clients’ mental health. Your duties will include:

• Supervising clinical care for patients, ensuring proficiency in treatment delivery and adherence to ethical standards.
• Conducting individualized and group therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of clients.
• Performing thorough assessments to develop and document effective treatment plans and progress reports.
• Managing a diverse caseload of clients with a spectrum of psychological needs, from anxiety and depression to trauma and relationship issues.
• Collaborating with patients and families to create actionable intervention strategies that lead to successful therapeutic outcomes.
• Utilizing advanced clinical skills to navigate crises and provide appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Offering personalized counseling services, including individual, couples, and family therapy, while making referrals to specialized professionals as needed.
• Conducting mental health evaluations and ensuring integration within the broader care framework.
• Developing and maintaining clear documentation including strategy outlines, advancement summaries, and any necessary revisions, along with providing educational resources to patients and families.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus on a varied patient population, including individuals from different backgrounds and with diverse mental health challenges. You will work closely with patients aged 18 and older, addressing issues related to mental health, emotional well-being, and relationships. With empathy and cultural competence, your interventions will be designed to foster resilience and positive coping strategies among clients facing life's challenges.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid professional license (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or PsyD) in New York.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical mental health setting, showcasing a deep understanding of therapeutic techniques and client engagement.

Preferred Experience

While not required, the following experiences are highly desirable:

• Experience working in community health settings or with diverse populations.
• Specialized training in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Familiarity with using digital platforms for telehealth counseling services.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 135,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional perks include:

• Up to $1,500 sign-on bonus.
• Flexible scheduling with the option to work 5-40 hours per week.
• Incentives for licensed therapists, including the potential for up to $2,000 in additional bonuses based on state licensure.
