Job Description:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS MANDATORY

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Active DoW/DoD 8570/8140 IAM or IAT Level II or III certification/qualification, such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS NICE TO HAVE

  • Advanced cybersecurity certifications and/or DoDM 8140.03 role qualifications beyond the minimum are advantageous.

REFERENCES/CERTIFICATES/DIPLOMAS REQUIRED

  • Resume, maximum 3 pages. By-name resume preferred. Security Verification Letter required for by-name candidate. Active cybersecurity certification/qualification documentation must be maintained and available for verification.

WORK EXPERIENCE MANDATORY

  • Demonstrated expertise applying NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-161/SCRM, and the DoW/DoD RMF to support ATO. Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity principles for embedded systems, software, firmware, wireless communications, networking, encryption, authentication, supply chain security, and related Blue List technologies. Experience interpreting penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, software assurance evaluations, firmware analyses, and related cybersecurity assessment data.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a cybersecurity SME supporting evaluation of Blue List product submissions. Review assessment reports and evidence for technical sufficiency.
  • Analyze vulnerabilities, threats, attack vectors, and residual risk.
  • Interpret penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, software assurance, and firmware analyses.
  • Recommend risk mitigations, assessment requirements, and technical acceptance positions. Validate vendor remediation plans.
  • Advise Government stakeholders on cybersecurity requirements, policy, and evolving threats affecting small unmanned systems and related technologies.

WORK EXPERIENCE NICE TO HAVE

  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience preferred. Experience assessing small unmanned systems, validating remediation plans, evaluating technical acceptance risk, and monitoring emerging threats/policy developments.
