Since 1990, Veterinary Surgical Specialists of Orange County (VSSOC) has been at the forefront of veterinary surgical medicine, successfully treating thousands of beloved pets and earning the trust of referring veterinarians across Southern California. Our board-certified surgeons serve the community 7 days a week, bringing nearly 70 years of combined experience to every case, performing the most progressive and sophisticated procedures using state-of-the-art equipment and minimally invasive techniques. Our surgeons are skilled across the full spectrum of advanced specialties — including orthopedic, soft tissue, reconstructive, neurological, oncological, and cardiothoracic surgery — ensuring that even the most complex cases receive expert, compassionate care.

As one of the first specialty practices in the nation to earn the Accredited Referral Practice designation from the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), we are held to exceptionally high standards across more than 900 aspects of our practice — a distinction that reflects our unwavering commitment to clinical excellence and patient safety. How You'll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon at VSSOC, you will operate within technologically sophisticated surgical suites equipped with the most advanced tools available. Our breadth of services ensures continuous exposure to uncommon and complex cases — empowering you to deepen your expertise, lean into your clinical interests, and deliver the highest standard of care.

Our caseload spans complex soft tissue, orthopedic, and specialty surgical procedures, supported by a full critical care team, advanced imaging, and a collaborative, experienced clinical staff. Schedule

Full-time | 4-Day Work Week, including a weekend day

On-call responsibilities are shared equitably among the surgical team.
