Job description

Description

Technology should help great people do great work. At Two's Company, we've spent more than 55 years building one of America's leading gift and home décor companies through creativity, exceptional products, strong relationships, and outstanding customer service. Today, we're making a significant investment in the technology that supports our business. We're expanding the capabilities of NetSuite, launching a powerful new CRM, Sales and Website platform with embedded AI, and giving our employees the tools they need to work smarter, collaborate more effectively, and better serve our customers. We're looking for a hands‑on Director of Business Technology who wants to help us unlock the full potential of these investments. This is not a traditional IT Director role. We're looking for a builder. Someone who enjoys solving business problems through technology.

What You'll Help Build
  • Expand and optimize our NetSuite ERP environment.
  • Lead the continued evolution of our new CRM, Sales and Website platform.
  • Introduce practical AI solutions that improve productivity across the company.
  • Build dashboards, workflows, automation and reporting that help people make better decisions.
  • Strengthen integrations between our business systems.
  • Help employees embrace technology with confidence.
  • Continually look for better, smarter ways of working.
The Technology Environment
  • NetSuite ERP
  • CRM, Sales & Website Platform
  • AI-powered business tools
  • E-commerce platform
  • Productivity & collaboration suite
  • Warehouse management system (WMS)
  • Shipping & fulfillment platform
  • Payment processing platform
  • EDI and third‑party integrations
Work Environment

This role is based in our Elmsford, NY office on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote). Occasional availability outside standard business hours may be required to support vendor escalations, system cutovers, or critical incidents.

Requirements
  • Has extensive hands‑on NetSuite experience, including SuiteScript development.
  • Thinks like a business partner, not just a technologist.
  • Enjoys solving problems and improving processes.
  • Communicates exceptionally well with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Is naturally curious and excited about emerging technologies, including AI.
  • Likes teaching, coaching and helping others succeed.
  • Wants to make a meaningful impact in a growing entrepreneurial company.
Key ResponsibilitiesNetSuite & Core ERP
  • Serve as a daily, hands‑on user and administrator of NetSuite, including custom development (SuiteScript), custom records, SuiteFlow automations, and reporting.
  • Expand and optimize the NetSuite ERP environment to support evolving business needs across subsidiaries and departments.
  • Partner with Zastro (NetSuite development partner) on more complex custom development and platform enhancements.
  • Help evaluate and document the impact of system changes across integrated platforms.
CRM, Sales & Website Platform
  • Lead the continued evolution and adoption of the company's new CRM, Sales and Website platform (Wiz Commerce), including workflow design in partnership with the Sales team.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to leverage the platform's embedded AI capabilities to improve productivity and customer experience.
  • Support field and internal teams in adopting new sales and CRM workflows.
AI & Emerging Technology
  • Introduce practical, business-relevant AI solutions that improve productivity across departments.
  • Own governance of the company's AI chat and productivity tools, including acceptable-use policy, training, and adoption, with an eye toward eventual consolidation onto a unified platform (e.g., Microsoft 365 / Copilot).
  • Stay current on emerging technology and proactively bring relevant opportunities to leadership.
Systems, Integrations & Vendor Management
  • Strengthen and maintain integrations between core business systems, including NetSuite, Wiz Commerce, Shopify, ShipHawk, ShipExec, Fortis, Celigo, and True Commerce (EDI).
  • Own day‑to‑day and strategic relationships with technology vendors and partners, including Omega (Managed Service Provider), Zastro (NetSuite development partner), Celigo (integration platform), and True Commerce (EDI).
  • Monitor vendor performance against SLAs, manage contract renewals, and elevate/resolve service issues.
  • Partner with Omega on infrastructure planning, upgrades, security posture, and business continuity.
Dashboards, Reporting & Decision Support
  • Build dashboards, workflows, automation, and reporting that help leaders and teams make better, faster decisions.
  • Continually look for smarter, more efficient ways of working and proactively recommend improvements.
People & Enablement
  • Manage and develop one internal IT professional (NetSuite Administrator).
  • Help employees embrace technology with confidence through training, coaching, and clear documentation.
  • Communicate technical issues and tradeoffs in clear, business-relevant terms to non-technical stakeholders across departments.
QualificationsRequired
  • Extensive hands‑on NetSuite experience, including SuiteScript development; OneWorld multi‑subsidiary experience strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive technology leadership or senior hands‑on technical experience, ideally in a mid‑sized product, retail, or consumer goods company.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple external vendors/consultants, including contracts, SLAs, and escalations.
  • Experience with CRM, e-commerce, WMS, and EDI/integration platforms.
  • Experience governing AI chat and productivity tools, including acceptable‑use policy development and employee training.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to partner equally well with technical and non‑technical teams.
  • A demonstrated business‑partner mindset — someone who solves business problems through technology, not just technology for its own sake.
Preferred
  • Direct experience with NetSuite, Shopify, ShipHawk, ShipExec, Fortis, Celigo, True Commerce, or Zastro specifically.
  • Experience leading or supporting a platform migration or major system rollout.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for coaching and training non-technical teams on new tools.
  • Prior experience in a growing, entrepreneurial company environment.
Why Two's Company?

At Two's Company, technology isn't just about systems, it's about empowering people.

You'll work directly with the Vice President of Operations and the President, partnering with leaders across every department to help shape how technology supports the business today and into the future.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $175,000 / annually
