Job Description

As anย External Quality Operations Manager (EQOM), you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing theย quality performance of external manufacturing partners. Acting as theย primary point of contactย for these suppliers, you'll ensure that every batch produced meetsย GMP/GDP requirements, aligns withย Quality Technical Agreements, and upholdsย Sobi's global quality standards.

You'll be theย bridge between Sobi and its external network, driving compliance, collaboration, and continuous improvement to support reliable product supply and Sobi's fastgrowing global footprint.

This role offers the opportunity to work crossfunctionally withย Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Technical Operations, and Regulatory Affairs, strengthening Sobi's commitment to delivering highquality medicines to patients worldwide.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform asย EQOM to act as Single point of contactย for all quality relatedย activities at theย Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO)ย ย 

  • Ensure that all aspectsย of handling, manufacturing,ย distribution of productsย are in compliance withย Sobiย Quality system, the effectiveย Qualityย Technicalย Agreementย (QTA), that they meetย relevantย CGMP regulatory requirement.ย ย 

  • Support release products to Markets

  • Support theย Externalย Service Provider (CMO)ย Qualificationย 

  • Ensureย Quality Technicalย Agreementย (QTA) beย establishedย appropriatelyย and ensureย valid QTAย clearly defines roles & responsibilitiesย between Sobi and the External Supplierย 

  • Ensure implementation andย maintainingย Quality Risk Assessment and KPIsย on Quality External activities.ย Guide definingย &ย monitoringย remediation plansย to ensure that issues are suitably addressed.ย Drive or supportย improvement opportunitiesย for processes and product Quality performanceย 

  • Ensureย CMOย provides product reviewsย or dataย (APQR/PQRs, stability reports)ย as specified in the QTA. Assessย the performance of the product and the processย as perย Sobi requirementย 

  • Manage/approveย quality issues (deviations,ย CAPA andย complaints) as per QTA and Sobi requirementย 

  • Ensureย thatย Change requests either fromย CMOย or from Sobi are managed according to the QTA and Sobi requirementsย 

  • Supportย thatย Quality Audits of the CMOย areย performed according to Sobi requirement and the QTAย 

  • Lead toย defineย strategyย of implementationย and monitoringย of key Quality transformation initiativesย and align with all process stakeholders outside of Quality organizationย 

  • Lead or act as Quality representative in projectsย related toย CMOย egย Tech Transfer, Launchย 

  • Assess and ensureย CMOย forย Healthย Authoritiesย (HAs)ย inspectionย readinessย 

  • Supportย HAย inspections/audits of Sobiย 

  • Responsible to informย the line managerย and cross functional teamsย of all critical &ย major issuesย and escalateย any issues as per Sobi escalation policyย 

  • Ensure a good collaboration isย maintainedย within theย Global Quality Operations and cross-functionallyย 

  • Ensure the batch release asย required

Qualifications

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Required:ย 

  • High level education (university degree or similar) within relevant area such asย pharmaceutical,ย biotechย or life scienceย 

  • More thanย 5ย yearsย of experienceย withinย pharmaceutical,ย biotechย product. Experience in QA operation,ย productionย or other relevant areaย (GMP, GDP)ย 

  • More thanย 1ย years of managing external quality oversight of CMOsย ย 

  • Curriculum isย requested for evaluating the batch release qualification requirementย 

  • Fluently spoken and writtenย English
    Desired:ย 

  • More than 2 years of working in global operation environment with English as a main languageย ย 

  • Proven experience ofย leading Quality KPI assessment and improvement at CMOsย 

  • Provenย track recordย withย FDA; EMEA or other Health Authoritiesย 

  • Strong understanding ofย risk assessment and risk management fundamentals / tools

Compensation and Total Rewards at Sobi

At Sobi, we are dedicated to providing our employees with a comprehensive and industry-competitive total rewards package. Our compensation philosophy is designed to recognize and reward talent, ensuring that your contributions are valued and reflected in your overall rewards.

The base salary range for this role is $130,000-$153,000. Each individual offer will be determined based on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, and location. Additionally, this role is eligible for both short-term and long-term bonuses, as outlined in the plan details.
