Job description

Position: FP&A Manager – Commercial Operations & Strategy

Client Sector: Global Agribusiness & Supply Chain

Location: Inver Grove Heights, MN (Hybrid)

Our client, a world-class leader in the global agricultural and energy commodities sector, is looking for a strategic FP&A Manager to serve as a key financial architect for their Enterprise Customer Development division.

The Opportunity

In this high-impact role, you will lead the financial support for the company’s "Go-to-Market" (GTM) strategies. This isn't just about reporting; it’s about driving volume and margin growth across a massive, matrixed global enterprise. You will act as the primary financial partner to executive sales and customer development leaders, translating complex data into actionable commercial insights.

Core Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing team of finance professionals, ensuring accuracy in work products while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • GTM Strategy: Partner with the executive team to design and implement enterprise-wide commercial initiatives. You will establish success metrics, monitor ROI, and ensure financial alignment with long-term corporate goals.
  • Commercial Insights: Conduct deep-dive analyses on customer segments and product margins. You will identify risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to optimize the wholesale and retail sales mix.
  • Financial Modeling: Build and maintain sophisticated, scalable financial models to support scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and predictive forecasting.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside the Strategy and Business Intelligence teams to integrate market trends and benchmarks into the decision-making process.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field. An MBA, CPA, or CMA is highly preferred.
  • Experience: At least 4+ years of progressive experience in financial management, with a proven track record in strategic planning, project management, and team leadership.
  • Technical Excellence: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/BPC preferred), CRM software, and data visualization tools. You should be comfortable pivoting between big-picture strategy and granular data sets.
  • Business Acumen: Previous experience supporting a sales or commercial organization is a significant advantage. You must be able to influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Analytical Mindset: Demonstrated ability in predictive analytics and high-level financial modeling.

Why Join This Organization?

  • This is a chance to work for a mission-driven global leader that connects local producers to worldwide markets. They offer a comprehensive total rewards package, including:
  • Competitive base salary + performance-based incentives.
  • Robust retirement benefits including both a 401(k) and a Pension plan.
  • Comprehensive healthcare, wellness programs, and tuition reimbursement.
  • A hybrid work environment that balances flexibility with collaborative office culture.

Our client is an Equal Opportunity Employer and values diversity in the workplace.
