Our client company has been producing precision crystal filters for radar for over sixty years and designs and manufactures RF & microwave solutions for data timing and radio frequency spectrum control in high reliability and harsh environment applications. In aerospace and defense markets the company’s digitally tuned filters support secure communications in the presence of electromagnetic interference. Low drift, highly accurate oscillators provide reliable frequency lock for ground, vehicle, air and satellite communication as well as electronic countermeasures. Vibration and shock resistant crystal clocks sharpen radar images and help monitor commercial aircraft engine performance. For Internet communication, their very low noise and packet sync clocks help increase bandwidth and prevent data loss in cellular base stations, micro and femto cells and Wi-Fi access points. Millimeter wave filters ensure corporate and telecom point-to-point links stay error free. On the lab bench or consumer electronics production test floors, the company’s ultra-low noise frequency reference oscillators insure accurate measurements. When public safety is paramount, wide temperature range/waterproof cavity filters ensure reliable radio communication. The company has an immediate need for a Network Administrator in their central Orlando plant. US Citizenship is required.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for network administration and engineering to accommodate business requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
• Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
• Secures network by implementing network access policies and monitoring user behavior and network traffic for compliance with policies.
• Supports users by providing direct assistance for network and application software issues.
• Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements. This includes physically installing equipment and interior network cabling.
• Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets and monitoring expenses.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Works some evenings and weekends to implement network changes when most users are off the network.
• Acts as a mentor and resource for information technology associates and interns, delivering guidance, training, and support to ensure mastery of job functions and technical responsibilities. May lead small project teams or workgroups on complex network initiatives.

• Must be able to work with ITAR data without a license; Eligibility for and ability to maintain a U.S. Government security clearance is desirable.

Education, Experience and Training:

• Associate’s degree (AS) in network engineering technology, Computer Engineering Technology or similar degree, plus 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies including Server, Active Directory, MS SQL, Exchange, Hyper-V, MS Terminal services as well as DHCP, DNS, etc.
• General computer and printer maintenance.
• Inside Plant network wiring.
• Experience as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) or Manager (ISSM).
