Job Description Sheet Metal Mechanic Pay: $24-$27 HR/DOE | Location: Redstone Arsenal, AL | Weekly Pay | Full Benefits We are hiring experienced Journeyman Sheet Metal Mechanics for commercial construction projects in and around Redstone Arsenal, AL. Candidates from Huntsville, Madison, Athens, Decatur, and surrounding areas are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Install, fabricate, and repair commercial sheet metal systems Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications Measure, cut, bend, and form sheet metal materials Install ductwork, fittings, flashing, and other sheet metal components Use hand and power tools safely and effectively Perform layout and fabrication according to project requirements Work with other trades and field crews to complete projects safely and efficiently Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow OSHA and site-specific safety requirements Requirements Minimum 2 years sheet metal experience - REQUIRED Previous commercial construction experience Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and installation Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings Ability to accurately measure, lay out, and fabricate materials Must be comfortable working on active commercial construction sites Must be able to perform physical job duties for a full shift Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Must be authorized to work in the United States Must pass required drug screen and background checks What We Offer Weekly Pay Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Short-Term Disability Insurance Opportunities for ongoing commercial construction work PPE Requirements Hard hat Work boots Safety vest Safety glasses Work gloves All SLS employees are required to comply with our Substance Abuse Prevention Policy as a condition of employment.
