Work Environment

This position requires an onsite presence at our well-equipped facility in Rochester, NY. The collaborative environment includes a supportive team of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, fostering an atmosphere of shared knowledge, continual learning, and respect for patient care. The standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical conditions to develop tailored treatment plans aimed at achieving specific rehabilitation goals.
  • Manage a patient workload of one patient per hour, ensuring efficient delivery of care while adhering to high standards of clinical practices.
  • Implement various treatment modalities, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercise, to facilitate injury recovery and enhance mobility.
  • Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adapting treatment strategies as needed, and communicating changes effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
  • Promote health and wellness by providing education on injury prevention, lifestyle modifications, and the importance of exercise.
  • Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey to maximize their functional abilities and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare providers to devise comprehensive care approaches for enhancing patient treatment.
  • Utilize advanced electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as WebPT to maintain accurate records and streamline communications.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will predominantly focus on a diverse population of orthopedic patients seeking rehabilitation from injuries or surgeries. You will be instrumental in delivering individualized therapy programs that motivate patients, encouraging them to engage actively in their recovery process. Establishing strong, trust-based relationships will be key to your success.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and hold a valid Physical Therapist license in Rochester, NY.
  • A clean professional record with no board actions or disciplinary measures is essential.
  • Applicants must have demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a solid foundation in conducting exercise regimens.
  • Experience with EMR software systems such as WebPT is a significant advantage.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient physical therapy clinic is preferred.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
  • Experience in patient education and wellness promotion will be beneficial for motivating patients and enhancing their recovery.
Compensation and Benefits
