Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist with specialized knowledge in orthopedic care to join our dynamic team at Siegwerk Mental and Behavioral Center in Augusta, Georgia. This full-time role involves working directly with patients to design and implement tailored rehabilitation strategies that restore mobility, enhance physical capabilities, and optimize overall quality of life. Our state-of-the-art facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped with advanced sports medicine technology to deliver high-quality rehabilitation care. We focus primarily on outpatient orthopedic therapy, serving patients who have private medical insurance. Our team comprises dedicated healthcare professionals who collaborate to create a supportive and patient-centered environment.

Work Environment

The therapist will work onsite in our modern rehabilitation facility located in Augusta, GA. You will be part of a close-knit team that includes two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), working collectively to deliver optimal care to our patients. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for work-life balance in a rewarding healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients in achieving their mobility objectives and personal goals through skilled assessment and therapeutic interventions.
  • Manage an efficient patient case load, averaging one patient per hour, ensuring high-quality individual attention.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive care plans based on patient assessments and identified needs, utilizing advanced treatment techniques.
  • Employ evidence-based practices to deliver personalized therapy interventions, focusing on enhancing patients' movement and function.
  • Regularly monitor and assess patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Document all care provided in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices, ensuring thorough and accurate patient records.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to create an integrated approach to patient care.
  • Motivate patients and instill a positive mindset to improve adherence to therapy regimens and overall treatment success.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles by advising on and implementing fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Actively engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with the latest practices and advancements in physical therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Siegwerk, you will primarily work with outpatient clients dealing with orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Our patient-centered approach emphasizes personalizing care to ensure each individual feels supported throughout their recovery process.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
  • Must possess a valid Physical Therapy license in Augusta, Georgia, with a clean disciplinary record.
  • Strong knowledge of manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription, and patient management strategies.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is highly desirable.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is strongly preferred, showcasing proficiency in treating a diverse clientele.
  • Demonstrated ability in creating effective rehabilitation programs and familiarity with patient motivational techniques.
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary healthcare teams is beneficial for enhanced collaborative patient care.
