Job Title : Senior DBT / Databricks Infrastructure Administrator (Looking for W2 Position)
Experience: 15+ Years
Location: Nashville / Tennessee
We are looking for a highly experienced DBT / Databricks Infrastructure Administrator with strong expertise in enterprise-scale Databricks platform administration, DBT infrastructure, security, governance, performance, and production operations
Job Description:
* Administer and support enterprise Databricks environments, including workspaces, clusters, compute policies, jobs, and platform configurations.
* Manage DBT infrastructure, environments, deployments, configurations, access, and production support.
* Configure and administer Databricks Unity Catalog, including catalogs, schemas, permissions, RBAC, and data governance.
* Manage IAM, SSO, service principals, secrets, tokens, and access controls across Databricks environments.
* Establish and maintain DEV, QA/UAT, and PROD environments with appropriate security and deployment controls.
* Support CI/CD pipelines for DBT and Databricks deployments using Git-based development and automated release processes.
* Monitor cluster utilization, workloads, job performance, failures, and infrastructure health.
* Perform Databricks performance tuning and cost optimization, including cluster sizing, autoscaling, job optimization, and compute governance.
* Troubleshoot complex DBT/Databricks production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
* Implement enterprise standards for security, governance, audit logging, monitoring, disaster recovery, and platform reliability.
* Collaborate with Data Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Security, and Architecture teams.
Required Skills
* 15+ years of overall IT/Data Engineering experience
* Strong hands-on Databricks Administration / Infrastructure experience
* Strong DBT administration and deployment experience
* Databricks Unity Catalog
* Databricks clusters, jobs, workflows, compute policies, and workspace administration
* DBT Core / DBT Cloud
* CI/CD and Git
* IAM, RBAC, SSO, secrets and security administration
* Cloud infrastructure experience with Azure or AWS
* Production monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and cost optimization
* Strong scripting/automation skills using Python, Shell, Terraform, or equivalent IaC tools
Candidates with strong hands-on infrastructure/platform administration experience are preferred over purely development-focused profiles.
