Work Environment

The role is based onsite in our surgical center, providing the opportunity to work closely with a team of healthcare professionals. Our facility is designed for efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring that all staff members can deliver the highest standard of care. The ideal work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life routine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patients’ medical histories to assess health and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work such as blood tests and imaging studies, to make informed medical decisions.
  • Establish and implement personalized treatment plans for chronic illnesses and infectious diseases, continuously monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment as necessary.
  • Prescribe medications and manage patient responses, ensuring safe and effective pharmacological care.
  • Provide education to patients and their families about health conditions, disease prevention strategies, and healthy lifestyle choices, empowering them to participate actively in their own care.
  • Perform daily rounds in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, ensuring that care plans are executed efficiently and effectively.
  • Keep precise and organized medical records and documentation, in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational protocols.
  • Stay informed about the latest medical advancements and best practices to continually improve care delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with patients in a surgical setting, where a variety of health conditions are managed. Our patient population ranges from children to adults, requiring a special focus on family medicine. Your dedication and clinical skill will help improve health outcomes for individuals facing chronic conditions as well as acute surgical needs.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • State licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York.
  • Proven experience of at least 2 years as a Physician Assistant, preferably in a family health clinic or surgical setting.
  • Strong clinical skills and extensive knowledge of health and patient care regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and team members.
  • A patient-centered approach with a commitment to ethical practices in healthcare.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in performing minor surgical procedures or assisting with surgical cases.
  • Ability to manage a diverse patient population with various healthcare needs.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to streamline patient documentation and care management.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
