Are you an experienced service technician who is tired of the flat-rate rat race, chasing hours, fighting chaos, poor dispatch, and sweating through the summer in a shop that does not have your back?
Thornton Automotive Dover is looking for skilled Automotive Service Technicians who want a better long-term home: a clean, organized, AIR-CONDITIONED service shop with strong family ownership, steady work, modern equipment, and a team that respects good technicians.
We are family-owned, reputable, and have been in business since 1993. We believe technicians should be able to focus on doing quality work without unnecessary drama, disorganization, or pressure from a broken pay system.
PAY & COMPENSATION:

HOURLY PAY + EFFICIENCY BONUS. Competitive hourly pay based on experience, skill level, diagnostic ability, and overall production. You also have the opportunity to earn an efficiency/performance bonus tied to quality work, productivity, and helping keep the shop moving the right way. No flat-rate-only setup. No guessing. No games. Just a better way to pay good technicians.
 
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
  • Diagnostics, Drivability concerns, CAN/network issues, no-starts, and intermittent problems (qualified techs)
  • General level service and repair work performed accurately and efficiently.
  • Quality checks, verification, and clear documentation of findings.
  • Professional communication with advisors and management so the repair process stays organized.
  • Help raise the overall level of the shop through quality work and a team-first attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven automotive service technician experience.
