Seaside Counseling and Assessment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to fill a full-time remote role. Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing therapists the flexibility to work from home while engaging with clients via secure platforms. You will be part of a supportive team that values open communication and collaborative care. Regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities are provided to enhance your skills and expertise in the field. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that align with clients' specific needs, goals, and preferences.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address mood disorders.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, suggesting treatment options and self-care practices to foster understanding and manage symptoms effectively.
  • Monitor client progress and outcomes, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal care.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for clients.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in mood disorder research and treatment methods to enhance your practice.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in team-building activities, professional training, and case reviews to promote ongoing education and skill development.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Seaside Counseling and Assessment, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. This role may also involve supporting marginalized populations, such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, ensuring that all clients receive the compassionate care they need.

Qualifications
  • Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, enabling you to build trusting therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental approach to understanding clients' experiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workloads and administrative responsibilities effectively.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with diverse clientele, particularly those dealing with complex mood disorders.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic approaches and tools used in mental health assessments.
Compensation and Benefits

Seaside Counseling and Assessment offers a competitive annual salary range of USD 70,000 – 90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
