Job description

Our client, a global leader in the energy and power generation industry, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Product Development teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer II
Location: Greenville, SC
Pay Range: $50/hr

What's the Job?
  • Own component modification projects from concept through implementation.
  • Perform mechanical design of hardware components and create engineering models and drawings.
  • Develop PLM BOMs and engineering change instructions.
  • Support procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and supplier qualification activities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and engineering teams to drive cost reduction and manufacturability improvements.
What's Needed?
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.
  • Experience with CAD modeling, engineering drawings, and hardware design modifications.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, assembly, and supplier interactions.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in Greenville, SC and attend a 4-hour in-person interview.
