Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business toestablisha standalone orthopedics company,operatingas DePuy Synthes.The process of the planned separation isanticipatedto be completed within 18 to24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may berequired, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Job Overview

The Sr. Manager, Portfolio Project Management is a strategic leadership role withinSupply Chain & Operations (SC&O), responsible for overseeing a portfolio of complex,crossfunctionalinitiatives that enable supply continuity, operational excellence, and business growth. This role drives disciplined portfolio governance, prioritization, and execution across manufacturing, planning,logistics, and external partners. The position offers high visibility and impact, partnering closely with senior leaders to translate strategy into results while building strong project management capabilities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and govern a portfolio of SC&O projects, ensuring alignment with business strategy, financial targets, and operational priorities.

  • Establish andmaintainportfolio management standards, cadence, and reporting, including prioritization, resource allocation, risk management, and performance metrics.

  • Partner withcrossfunctionalleaders (Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Quality, R&D, and Commercial) to driveontime,onbudgetexecution of strategic initiatives.

  • Identifyinterdependencies, risks, andtradeoffsacross initiatives and proactively recommend mitigation and optimization strategies.

  • Provideexecutivelevelcommunication, including portfolio dashboards, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Lead, coach, and develop project managers and portfolio resources, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

  • Drive adoption of project and portfolio management best practices, tools, and methodologies across SC&O.

  • Ensure projects comply with applicable quality, regulatory, and governance requirements within a regulated medical device environment.

Qualifications

Education

  • Required:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, ora relatedfield.

  • Preferred:Master's degree (MBA or MS) in a related discipline.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in project, program, or portfolio management within supply chain, operations, manufacturing, or a relatedenvironment.

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex,crossfunctionalportfolios with significant business impact.

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, including influencing at the senior leadership level.

  • Proven ability toestablishgovernance, prioritize initiatives, and manage resources across competing demands.

  • Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences).

  • Strong analytical, financial, andproblemsolvingcapabilities.

Preferred:

  • Experience in global ormultisitesupply chain operations.

  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Advancedproficiencywith project/portfolio management tools and enterprise systems.

  • Priorpeoplemanagementor matrix leadership experience.

Other:

  • Language:English (additionallanguages a plus).

  • Travel:Up to 15-25%, primarily domestic, with occasional international travel.

  • Certifications (Preferred):PMP,PgMP, or equivalent project/portfolio management certification.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation -120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado -48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington -56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays -13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave - 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
Bereavement Leave - 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
Caregiver Leave - 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
