We’re looking for a Motion Graphics Designer & Video Editor who is passionate about clinical education and the medical aesthetics industry to bring creative innovation to the way we educate healthcare providers on our aesthetics portfolio. Reporting to the Director of AMI Curricula, the Motion Graphics Designer & Video Editor will be an integral part of creating and editing entertaining, informative, and engaging content for all of our training programs. The Motion Graphics Designer & Video Editor will lead the post-production workflow on each project, communicating closely with the other spokes on the post-production wheel, including internal and external creative partners.
This is a new role, breaking traditional outsourced creative norms to take select post-production activities in house under a dedicated AMI Curricula team. You can expect to work alongside a diverse team of curricula experts and graphic designers to develop Client and modernized educational content. The role will involve high-volume content execution working directly with internal and agency teams to elevate AMI’s offerings to the aesthetic marketplace.
• Video Editing
o Edit video footage into high-quality content for various channels (didactic presentations, educational apps, websites, social media, learning modules, etc)
o Optimize videos for various platforms and devices
o Create video deliverables with provided assets, brief, and direction
o Repurpose and maximize existing videos with creative methods such as cutdowns, resizing, and re-editing
• Motion Graphics Design
o Create visually engaging motion graphics/animations/3D/video for use across various channels
o Collaborate with graphic designers to develop and visualize concepts
o Use animation to enhance adult learning principles and convey complex ideas easily
• Post-production
o Manage post-production tasks including color grading, sound editing, and ability to trouble shoot tech specs and delivery issues with external vendors
o QC and ensure the quality and delivery of final files is without error
• Occasionally film low-fi videos on location during live events, in-office medical trainings, and other academia-like settings (filming expertise not required, but a plus)
• Collaborate with stakeholders to brainstorm, storyboard, plan, and execute projects
• Safeguard that all materials are consistent with AMI brand guidelines/identity
• Develop AMI’s motion design standards and best practices
• Effectively deliver ideas, give and receive feedback
• Collaborate with external tech vendors
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
• 4+ years in related field, ideally medical/beauty
• Proven motion graphics and video editing experience
• Ability to shot video is a plus
• Proficiency in video editing software
• Experience producing videos and animation for social media and websites
• Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Animate, Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent industry-standard software
• Ability to narrate stories through motion to improve user experience/interaction
• Must be comfortable in a medical environment and observing medical aesthetic procedures
• Excellent time and project management skills, embraces autonomy
• High degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment
Additional Requirements:
• Continuously explore new tech and trends with the willingness to learn/implement new skills/best practices
• Ability to travel up to 40%. Evenings, overnight, weekends, domestic is required
Language and Verbal Skills:
Individual must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
