Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our innovative team at Root Center For Advanced Recovery Clinic. In this full-time remote role, you will have the opportunity to support individuals on their mental health journey while enjoying the flexibility of a telehealth work setting. With a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 annually, this position offers you the chance to make a real impact in the lives of our clients.

About the Organization

Root Center For Advanced Recovery Clinic is committed to providing exceptional mental health care that empowers individuals to face and overcome their challenges. We focus on delivering evidence-based therapies and comprehensive mental health services, striving for continuous improvement in the quality of care we provide. Our team is a group of committed professionals dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for both staff and clients.

Work Environment

This remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while engaging in regular telehealth sessions with clients. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, you will provide assessment and therapeutic services while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. We encourage autonomy in scheduling, allowing you to create a work routine that best fits your lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments for clients in various situations, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to create tailored treatment plans that foster each individual's unique recovery path.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). For example, you may lead sessions focused on coping strategies for anxiety or skills training for emotional regulation.
  • Document all client interactions accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to provide holistic care and ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Participate in regular case consultations to review treatment approaches and share knowledge about effective strategies within a team setting.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and available resources, empowering them to actively engage in the treatment process and take steps towards recovery.
  • Stay abreast of the latest research in mental health practices and integrate this knowledge into your client care for continuous improvement in therapeutic effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse clientele facing various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. Our patients come from varying backgrounds, and your cultural competency will play an essential role in establishing trust and rapport, crucial for successful therapeutic outcomes. This position emphasizes equitable care and the adaptation of treatment approaches to meet the unique needs of each individual.

Qualifications
  • A master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution
  • An active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California
  • Experience in solution-focused psychotherapy techniques, demonstrating a capacity to personalize treatment plans based on individual client needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective engagement with clients and their families
  • Problem-solving skills that enable the identification of effective therapeutic strategies in complex clinical situations
  • A collaborative spirit to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in a telehealth setting is preferred but not mandatory, as we provide training to successful candidates to ensure a seamless transition into a virtual care delivery model.
  • Familiarity with mental health documentation software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems will be advantageous for efficient clinical record keeping.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary between $80,000 and $100,000, with performance-based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Life and disability insurance to provide peace of mind and financial security.
  • Malpractice insurance coverage for added professional liability protection.
  • Employee assistance program (EAP) that offers additional resources for personal challenges.
  • Unlimited referrals that ensure a robust caseload, giving you ample opportunity to impact lives positively.
  • Minimal paperwork, allowing you to focus more on client care rather than administrative tasks.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Root Center For Advanced Recovery Clinic, we believe in your professional development. We provide opportunities for continued education, advanced clinical training, and participation in workshops to help you grow as a mental health professional. As an employee, you can take part in leadership training programs that prepare you for potential advancement within the organization.
