Position Summary
The College of Sciences, Health and Pharmacy at Roosevelt University invites applications for a Non-Tenure Track Assistant Teaching Professor, Clinical Coordinator Nursing position to begin August 15, 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and organizing the nursing clinical rotations. This will include being the liaison for clinical sites and facilities, overseeing adjunct clinical faculty assignments, orientation to clinical sites, and assessment.
The individual will also be expected to teach undergraduate courses in nursing with a focus on clinical rotations, participate in the development of curriculum, and engage in service activities. The successful candidate will add value to the university community through activities including but not limited to student academic and career advising, participation in Roosevelt University sense of belonging, and/or external outreach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate clinical rotations for undergraduate nursing program
  • Identify and formulate needed clinical contract with all clinical facilities
  • Evaluates students' readiness for clinical rotations including all required training and immunizations
  • Organizes and assesses the orientation each semester for new clinical instructors
  • Determines clinical placement and schedules for nursing students each semester
  • Contribute to curricular assessment and development
  • Stimulate class discussions and encourage active learning in all students
  • Maintain proper course-related records, and promptly assess student coursework and apprise students of progress
  • Supervise students in clinical settings
  • Provide academic advising to students
  • Support enrollment efforts
  • Other duties related to program needs.

The salary range for this position is $85,000-$95,000.

Minimum Qualifications
  • MS in Nursing required
  • Current RN license or eligibility for licensure in Illinois.
  • Two years' experience in clinical supervision of nursing students at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctor of Nursing Practice, or evidence of plan to pursue doctoral degree in Nursing or related field from a regionally accredited institution
  • Two years' teaching experience in nursing at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
  • Evidence of self-development through participation in continuing education offerings, advanced study, scholarly pursuit and/or professional and clinical activities
