Position Summary
The Carrier Qualification & Insurance Analyst is responsible for evaluating, onboarding, and maintaining motor carrier compliance in accordance with Reckart Logistics, Inc.'s Carrier Qualification Policy. This position ensures that all approved carriers meet company, customer, regulatory, insurance, and safety requirements prior to receiving freight assignments.
The analyst serves as a critical risk management resource by reviewing carrier credentials, monitoring insurance coverage, preventing fraud, identifying operational risks, and ensuring ongoing compliance with FMCSA regulations, customer requirements, and company standards.
This position works closely with Carrier Sales, Operations, Claims, and Risk Management to protect the company from financial, legal, and operational exposure.
Key Responsibilities
Carrier Qualification
Setup new carriers by obtaining and ensuring all necessary paperwork is complete and
updated in RLI’s database in an accurate and timely manner.
High-Value Cargo Risk Management
Responsible for supporting the company's High-Value Cargo Protection Program by ensuring that carriers assigned to sensitive or high-value freight meet enhanced qualification and insurance standards before load acceptance.
Claims Support
Assist the Cargo Claims Department by:
Required Qualifications
Education
Associate degree in Business, Logistics, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field preferred.
Equivalent work experience is considered.
