Job description

Disaster Case Manager – Field & Remote Riverview, FL 33578 (Hybrid: In-Field / Remote) | Full-Time | $22.00/hr

About the Role

This is a hybrid position, splitting time between in-field home visits and remote work. Case Managers will travel directly to clients' homes within the Riverview, FL 33578 County area to conduct outreach and needs assessments, while also managing caseloads, documentation, and follow-ups remotely.

Compensation & Schedule $22.00 per hour Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST

Key Responsibilities

In-Field

  • Conduct in-person outreach and comprehensive needs assessments by visiting disaster-impacted households directly in their homes throughout Hillsborough County
  • Work one-on-one with clients in their homes to develop individualized goals and evaluate progress
  • Assist clients in completing required paperwork for long-term goal achievement, referrals, and supplemental documentation
  • Support clients in transitioning to sustainable, affordable housing

Remote

  • Connect clients to nonprofit and government services, including internal program referrals
  • Collaborate closely with program leadership and staff to ensure clients fully understand program requirements
  • Maintain and manage an active caseload efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Provide frequent updates to clients on application and grant progress throughout the process
  • Input and maintain accurate client data, case notes, and resource referrals in casework and financial aid record systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in case management, public housing, or disaster recovery
  • Strong knowledge of community resources, nonprofit services, and government assistance programs
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload
  • Clear and empathetic communicator with clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Proficiency with case management software and data entry systems
  • Must reside in or near Riverview, FL 33578 and be able to travel within the service area
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
