Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our interdisciplinary team at Relationship Behavioral Health Services in Miami, Florida. This remote position focuses on providing comprehensive mental health care through the Primary Care Mental Health Integration (PCMHI) model. The LMHC will work closely with our Psychiatry Service, engaging in collaborative care as a behavioral health consultant to enhance the well-being of Veterans and primary care patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial intake assessments and develop treatment plans that address the specific needs of each client.
  • Provide evidence-based psychological interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions, aligned with therapeutic goals.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers and the interdisciplinary Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) to ensure a seamless continuum of care for patients.
  • Utilize the current DSM for diagnosing mental health conditions to guide the development of individualized treatment strategies.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation that reflects patient progress, treatment interventions, and care coordination efforts.
  • Engage in ongoing evaluations and follow-up sessions to adapt treatment as needed and assess outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings and case conferences to promote integrated care and share insights on patient progress and needs.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves Veterans and individuals receiving care from primary care providers. The LMHC will address a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and stress management. Our focus on holistic care means that you will have the opportunity to support clients across diverse backgrounds, enriching their lives through targeted therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in mental health counseling or a related field.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
  • Demonstrated ability to fulfill requirements for internal credentialing in clinical settings.
  • At least one year of experience working with psychiatric patients or populations dealing with substance abuse.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior involvement in assessment and diagnosis, as well as individual and group therapy practices.
  • Familiarity with telehealth technologies and digital documentation systems.
  • Skills in multicultural counseling and understanding diverse client backgrounds.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 60,000 to 95,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
