You will remain actively connected with clients through digital communication tools, contributing to their healing journey without geographical constraints. While your daily interactions will primarily be virtual, regular team meetings will foster collaboration, aligning our approach to ensuring effective support for our student population.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments via virtual interviews and observations, along with diligent reviews of students' medical and educational records to evaluate their emotional, social, and environmental factors affecting their rehabilitation and academic success.
- Offer empathetic and tailored counseling sessions to students and their families, addressing critical adjustment issues, coping mechanisms, and enhancing emotional well-being.
- Work collaboratively with educators, therapists, and medical professionals to formulate and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring that psychosocial needs are integrated into each student’s rehabilitation program.
- Guide students and families in navigating the complex landscape of community resources, such as support groups, vocational rehabilitation services, and housing assistance, enabling their reintegration into society.
- Participate actively in discharge planning and provide ongoing support as students transition from rehabilitation back into their home school environments.
- Utilize digital platforms to track student progress and maintain accurate records of all interactions and interventions, promoting continuity of care.
You will primarily be serving school-aged children and adolescents dealing with a range of challenges including emotional distress, trauma, and adjustment disorders alongside their rehabilitation needs. By creating a supportive and trusting relationship, you will help cultivate resilience and improve academic performance, thereby enhancing the overall quality of life for each student.
Qualifications- A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Possession of an active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Connecticut.
- A strong understanding of adjustment disorders and effective coping mechanisms tailored to a young demographic.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to interact effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Previous experience working in rehabilitation settings, particularly within educational environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with teletherapy practices and digital intervention methods to effectively engage with students in a remote setup.
The salary for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits that include:
- Comprehensive health insurance coverage, catering to both you and your family’s wellness needs.
- Retirement plans with employer contributions to secure your financial future.
- A generous paid time-off policy that encompasses vacation, sick leave, and holidays to foster work-life balance.
