Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in scheduling and work-life balance. While working from the comfort of your home, you will engage with multidisciplinary teams using a variety of communication tools and electronic management systems to coordinate care and maintain client records. Our outpatient office model means that you will be providing vital counseling services to clients in a setting that encourages safety and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop customized therapeutic plans for clients of all backgrounds.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical records while adhering strictly to ethical guidelines and state regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic client care, including regular case reviews and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Participate in ongoing training workshops and professional development to stay abreast of the latest research and trends in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with clients who face limited access to mental health care, often treating a diverse range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your efforts will play a crucial role in addressing barriers to care and evolving treatment modalities that align with clients’ unique needs and circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related discipline is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut is essential.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical context, is necessary to qualify for this position.
• A strong grasp of legal and ethical standards for mental health practice is mandatory.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• A demonstrated capability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team is required.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and related technologies is essential for efficient operation in this role.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment is highly preferred.
• Prior experience in outpatient settings is beneficial as it will enhance your ability to address the specific needs of our client population.

Compensation and Benefits

• The salary range for this position is between USD 70,000 and 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and availability of caseload.
