Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in a balanced work-life integration. While working from home, you will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team that includes other mental health professionals. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to develop tailored therapeutic strategies that address their individual needs.
  • Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused short therapy, to facilitate client progress.
  • Deliver group, family, couple, and individual therapy sessions aimed at improving mental health outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and workshops to enhance your knowledge and skills in the field.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive client care, ensuring that all aspects of a client's well-being are addressed.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals and families with limited access to mental health services, thus addressing a critical need within the community. This role will focus on treating a range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use, with sensitivity to each client's unique social and cultural background.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Must possess an active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical environment, is essential.
  • Strong understanding of ethical and legal standards in practice.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport with a diverse clientele.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technologies.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience or specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment is highly preferred.
  • Engagement in continuous professional education, including workshops and trainings on current mental health practices.

  • Competitive annual salary in the range of USD 70,000 to 90,000, based on experience and caseload.
