Position Summary:
The House Person supports the housekeeping team by maintaining cleanliness in public areas, assisting with room preparation, and ensuring supplies and linens are stocked and distributed. This role helps create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, stairwells, and outdoor spaces.
- Deliver and retrieve linens, amenities, and supplies to/from guest floors and storage areas.
- Assist room attendants with removing soiled linens, trash, and cleaning supplies from guestrooms.
- Respond promptly to housekeeping and guest requests, including delivering extra amenities or assisting with special setups.
- Keep storage closets, carts, and work areas organized and stocked.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks as assigned (e.g., carpet shampooing, floor scrubbing, window washing).
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Assist other departments when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Previous hotel or janitorial experience preferred, but not required-training provided.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Friendly, professional demeanor with a focus on guest service.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures.
