EDM Field Service Technician     

Dynamic, stable and growing machine building and service company has an immediate need for an EDM Field Service Technician. You will be responsible for Installing, maintaining and repairing EDM equipment. Must have the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control issues as well as perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and detailed calibrations to meet Nuclear & Aerospace Standards. Must Be able to Travel out of State

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

·         Ability to pass background checks, up to and including background checks to be able to enter and work in the nuclear power plant industry

·         Ability to travel out of state for 2-3 weeks in a row, potentially for 2-3 months in a row

·         Ability to install, troubleshoot, and upgrade machine tools

·         Training on the specifics of machines, industry

·         Ability to make on-site modifications of equipment

·         Must work safely at all times

·         Recommendations to customers on safety

·         Interact well with customers

·         Willing to follow procedures and generally do high quality work 

·         Speed of work is not the focus

·         Efficiency as well as detailed work is a must  

·         Willingness to work on reasonably high-power electrical panels 480V-3 phase power at 100A

·         Ability to advise customers with good instructions and demonstrations and some training

·         Ability to systemize self and work independently

·         Must have experience with electronic troubleshooting, temperature control, CNC control, P.L.C.

·         Installation and testing control systems

·         Order parts to the manufacturer's specifications.

·         Ensures compliance with Company Repair Station Manuel (RSM)/Quality Control Management (QCM)
Must be aware of ISO/Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS) quality requirements
Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards

·         Regular and reliable attendance

·         High School Diploma Required

·         Engineering degree is highly desired
