About the Organization

Read Better Be Better is a nonprofit organization based in Phoenix, founded in 2014 as a response to the state's literacy crisis. Our mission is to equip youth with the skills to read and lead. Our vision is a world in which empowered communities demand equitable access to foundational skills. Our values are simple – Be Excellent, Be Kind!

A Day as RBBB's Program Manager

The Program Manager helps ensure Read Better Be Better programs are implemented effectively and consistently across multiple school and community partner sites. Working closely with the K–12 Program Director, Program Coordinators, Program Coaches, and partner organizations, this role oversees program implementation, staff leadership, operational quality, and relationship management to support strong outcomes for students.

Your day may begin in the office reviewing program updates, responding to partner communication, analyzing student and site data, and meeting with Program Coordinators to support team priorities and troubleshoot challenges. You'll collaborate with internal departments to ensure programs are aligned with organizational goals and operational standards.

Throughout the week, you'll visit program sites across the Greater Phoenix area and throughout Arizona to observe programming, strengthen relationships with school and community partners, and support staff in delivering high-quality after-school literacy programming.

You'll also facilitate team meetings, provide coaching and professional development to Program Coordinators and Program Coaches, and help foster a positive and reflective team culture grounded in RBBB's mission and values.

Through your leadership, collaboration, and commitment to excellence, you help expand access to literacy and leadership opportunities for students across Arizona.

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Please contact jobs@readbetterbebetter.org.
