Collins aerospace looking for a Materials Associate Lead, Logistics & Stockroom at our Miami, FL location! The Assistant Technician, Logistics & Stockroom will provide logistic documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. Review configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment. Plan, schedule and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving, or the warehouse, to production.
  • This position will be working in an Onsite capacity.
  • This position is not eligible for relocation
  • Typically, Monday - Friday 6:00am -2:30PM. Possible overtime may be required

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Works under immediate supervision to aid with managing inventory and movement of materials.
  • Assists with preparation of necessary shipping documentation.
  • Assists with checking arriving materials to ensure they match purchase orders.
  • Assists with flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines.
  • Maintains production and delivery schedules.
  • Assists with responding to basic customer or shipper questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.
  • Tracks and traces goods while they are on route to their destinations.
  • Compiles data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents to assess supply needs.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a HS Diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Current or previous experience inputting part number, serial numbers, and batch numbers into an inventory system

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current or previous experience with receiving and ships a variety of items and maintains inventory control.
  • Current or previous pallet jack experience loading and unloading trucks and vehicles
  • Ability to utilize computer systems SAP, to input & retrieve information
  • Highly responsive to internal and external customer requirements with a strong attention to detail
  • Solid technical writing skills and a strong work ethic with demonstrated leadership, business judgment and innovation
  • Stress tolerant to a fast paced, results oriented environment
  • Have strong oral and written communication
  • Able to interpret regulatory and customer requirements
