Business Analyst

 

How does the role impact the organization?

Location: Raymond James Ltd., Hybrid role based in Vancouver

Reports to: Manager, Business Analysis

As a Business Analyst within the Raymond James Project Management Office, you will support a diverse portfolio of strategic, technical, and regulatory initiatives across multiple business domains. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, subjectmatter experts, technology partners, and external vendors to understand problems, analyze processes, and define clear, actionable requirements that enable effective solution design and delivery.

This role blends business analysis, technical analysis, and crossfunctional coordination. You will help translate business objectives into solutions that enhance advisor and client experiences, strengthen operational efficiency, and advance the firm's transformation priorities.

What will your role be responsible for?

  • Lead discovery and analysis activities to define business, functional, and nonfunctional requirements across a range of initiatives.
  • Develop highquality BA deliverables, including process maps, business requirements, use cases, epics/user stories and data mappings.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Conduct gap analysis, feasibility assessments, and impact analysis across systems and business processes.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and SMEs to support solution design, test planning, UAT, and implementation.
  • Support change management, readiness planning, and postimplementation validation activities.
  • Document complex endtoend workflows across clientfacing, operational, and systemdriven processes.
  • Partner with SMEs to define requirements that enhance process efficiency, control, usability, and data accuracy.
  • Support initiatives involving integrations with internal systems and thirdparty vendors.
  • Identify and clarify crossteam dependencies, ensuring handoffs and responsibilities are well defined and understood.

  • You contribute to efficient, lowrework delivery by defining accurate requirements, supporting testing and validation activities, and partnering closely through implementation.
  • You help ensure solutions meaningfully improve advisor and client experiences.

Expertise You Bring

  • Minimum 3-5 years of Business Analyst experience in wealth management
    • Experience supporting front-, middle-, and backoffice wealth functions.
    • Experience in onboarding, account servicing, portfolio management, investment products, regulatory workflows, financial reporting, or trading.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall SDLC
  • Demonstrated proficiency in requirements documentation, process modeling, and systems analysis.
  • Ability to concurrently work across multiple projects in a dynamic, highaccountability environment.
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and Microsoft Office.
  • Comfort analyzing data using Excel, SQL, or equivalent tools to validate requirements and support decisionmaking

Salary Range: $80,000 - 95,000 annually, in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives.
