Locum Tenens Physician - Radiology - Interventional

Position Details:
Patient Population: Hospital patients requiring diagnostic and interventional radiology services
Setting: General Acute Care Hospital
Responsibilities: Provide hospital radiology coverage, perform interventional radiology procedures, interpret Stroke CTs and other imaging studies, support outpatient contrasted CTs and MRIs, and perform breast biopsies as needed.
Required Procedures: Lumbar punctures, barium studies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, intra-abdominal abscess drainage, chest tubes, suprapubic catheters, CT/US-guided biopsies, thyroid biopsies, lung biopsies, and other interventional radiology procedures.
EMR System: Cerner
Support Staff: Diagnostic Imaging (Radiology) Nurses and Technologists; Sacramento Radiology Group for overflow and after-hours reads
Days Per Month: Coverage dates include July , October 2, November 30 December 4, and December
On-Call/Weekends: Weekend coverage required

Submission Requirements:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology
  • Active State License
  • Residency Trained
  • BLS, DEA, and California Fluoroscopy Certification
