Job Overview

As a Manufacturing Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with relevant regulations. You will be responsible for inspecting materials, components, and finished products throughout the manufacturing process, identifying defects, and implementing quality control measures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to perform accurate measurements and dimensional checks
  • Verify product conformance to ISO 13485 and FDA regulations
  • Document inspection results, maintain detailed records, and prepare quality reports
  • Identify and report quality issues, non-conformances, and deviations from established procedures
  • Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist in the development and revision of quality control procedures and work instructions
  • Calibrate and maintain quality inspection equipment
  • Perform audits of manufacturing processes and quality systems
  • Train and mentor junior quality inspectors and production personnel on quality standards and inspection techniques
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in quality control

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device industry
  • Proficient knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA regulations for medical devices
  • Expert-level skills in using precision measuring instruments, especially calipers
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and quality management software
  • Certification in quality assurance or inspection (e.g., ASQ) is a plus
