Job description

Regional One Health is currently seeking a Manager, Events for our Foundation Development Department.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in professional events management is required for consideration.

A Brief Overview
The Manager, Events executes and provides overall strategy for all aspects of fundraising events. Primary responsibilities include event and program development and management, donor cultivation and stewardship, and creation of new relationships. This person will also help coordinate other fundraising events benefiting the health care system's approved priorities.
What you will do
  • Effectively leads and manages all activities associated with Regional One Health Foundation's signature events, cultivation and stewardship events, as well as events generated by outside support groups/guilds/auxiliaries.
  • Recruits, trains, and manages all volunteers, board members and committee members in order to plan theme, fundraising strategy, and format of events, establishes and monitors budgets.
  • Manages all event logistics, negotiate contracts (with assistance from legal department) and arrange all vendor contracts and ensure appropriate event vision to meet the organization's standards of excellence; close out all events to include the full spectrum of on-site clean up, internal finance and payment of invoices, and guest/sponsor stewardship.
  • Plans and prepares budgets and provide progress reports to Director of Donor Engagement for each event project. Tracks all event finances.
  • Proposes and implements new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process.
  • Identifies new event opportunities or third party fundraising opportunities for raising revenue and for increasing/enhancing the public's image and awareness of Regional One Health Foundation and Regional Medical Center.
  • Reports to and coordinates with the Executive Director of Donor Engagement on all strategic fundraising efforts to ensure financial success of event, proper position of organization in the community and foster strong relationships with donors.
  • Collaborates with development team and internal marketing and communications department as needed.
  • Collaborates, with support from marketing and communications on all event promotion material.
  • Promotes the positive image, services, activities and events of Regional Medical Center among the philanthropic community to attract new donors and enable the achievement of fundraising targets.
  • Support the gift officers with the development and execution of stewardship and cultivation events. Including:• seeking and securing various forums, venues or partnerships to communicate Regional One Health's successes and narrative,• identifying stakeholders for targeted messages,• enhance health system activities, programs and stories (narratives) for donor appeal and communicate successes through appropriate channels.

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field Required
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in professional events management Required
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge Events module preferable but experience with database management required
  • Development/philanthropy experience preferable
