Work Environment

This position is remote, reflecting our commitment to flexibility and work-life balance, while maintaining the collaborative and supportive culture of our outpatient office. You will primarily engage with clients through virtual platforms, attending team meetings, and contributing to case discussions from the comfort of your home. The role entails a dedicated work schedule, operating Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with the potential for on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical services to clients experiencing major mental illnesses and emotional disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance treatment goals, share insights, and foster collaboration among colleagues.
• Conduct thorough screenings and assessments, integrating developmental considerations and cultural sensitivity into your practice.
• Develop and implement integrated care plans that link clients with necessary services, ensuring smooth communication among families, clients, and other providers.
• Monitor client progress and adapt treatment strategies, maintaining a focus on client empowerment and choice throughout their journey.
• Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions, maintaining a manageable caseload while ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Assist in crisis intervention, providing immediate support and strategies to navigate acute mental health challenges.
• Complete necessary documentation and reporting promptly to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by participating in committees aimed at enhancing service delivery and client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals from varied socio-economic backgrounds. Clients served will typically include those with severe emotional struggles and major mental health conditions, requiring compassionate and skilled interventions tailored to their unique needs. Your work will not only impact individual clients but will also help foster healthier communities by addressing systemic barriers to mental health care.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is required.
• Valid LCSW licensure in Virginia is mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with mental health populations is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex concepts and collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently.
• Competence in developmental issues relevant to the diverse age groups and populations served.

Preferred Experience

• Bilingual candidates, particularly those proficient in both English and Spanish, will be prioritized to better serve our community.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms is advantageous.
