Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health conditions and establish clinical diagnoses, guiding the creation of individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver a range of therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy, utilizing evidence-based practices that resonate with each client's unique goals and preferences.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention to clients facing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring appropriate support and safety protocols are in place.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards, documenting treatment progress, client interactions, and assessment results within our secure electronic health records system.
  • Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care physicians, to ensure comprehensive treatment and support.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health issues and treatment modalities, enhancing their understanding and involvement in the therapeutic process.
  • Engage in ongoing professional training to remain informed of the latest developments in mental health therapy, ensuring the application of best practices in your work.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will serve a diverse clientele, encompassing individuals with various mental health diagnoses including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Clients may range from children to adults, with varying levels of severity in their cases. Your approach will prioritize cultural competency, empathy, and tailored solutions that reflect the unique backgrounds and life experiences of each client.

Qualifications
  • A valid license as a Mental Health Therapist including LMFT, LPC, or LCSW is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is required; a Master’s or Doctoral degree is preferred.
  • Proven clinical assessment and diagnostic skills are essential for successful client evaluation.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant therapeutic experience is required.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong therapeutic relationships and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to ethical and professional standards in mental health practice.
Preferred Experience
  • While at least two years of professional experience is mandatory, previous clinical experience in a community health setting is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms will be beneficial for efficient documentation and client management.
Compensation and Benefits
