Job description

DESCRIPTION
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Room Attendant who takes pride in providing exceptional cleanliness and guest service. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to grow professionally and develop into a future Housekeeping Supervisor. In addition to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, the successful candidate will demonstrate leadership potential, a positive attitude, and a commitment to continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to company standards.
  • Make beds, replace linens, replenish guest amenities, and restock supplies.
  • Vacuum, dust, mop, and sanitize assigned areas.
  • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and lost-and-found items promptly.
  • Ensure all work meets quality, cleanliness, and brand standards.
  • Respond courteously to guest requests and provide excellent customer service.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
  • Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas in an organized manner.
  • Complete assigned rooms within established productivity standards.
  • Work cooperatively with other departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Supervisor Development Responsibilities
As part of the Supervisor Development Track, employees will gradually receive additional training and responsibilities, including:
  • Assisting with room inspections and quality assurance.
  • Learning housekeeping scheduling and daily room assignments.
  • Training and mentoring new Room Attendants.
  • Supporting inventory management and supply ordering.
  • Assisting with departmental communication and shift coordination.
  • Developing leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Learning hotel policies, performance standards, and reporting procedures.
  • Serving as acting team lead when assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent work ethic and reliability.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership potential and desire for career advancement.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 35 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Ability to push and pull housekeeping carts.
  • Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks safely and efficiently.
