Provo City is hiring seasonal workers to perform in outdoor guest service roles at the Timpanogos Golf Clubhouse. These roles include maintaining golf course equipment and interacting with the public. This work requires weekend work hours including Saturday and Sunday. Qualified, civic-minded individuals interested in providing these services to the community are encouraged to apply.

What shifts are available?
Hours and timeframes vary depending on weather and season/
• General: All Open Hours, 7 days per week (3 - 4 shifts/week)
• Sunday Crew: 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (2 - 3 shifts/month)
What is the compensation?
Pay Rate: $8.50 - $12.00 per hour, depending upon skill level and experience. Payment will be by direct deposit.

Golf Course employees are also provided free golf, carts and range balls when available.
What will I do?
  • Open and close the golf course.
  • Clean golf carts and pick up driving range balls.
  • Provide friendly customer service.
  • Assist with general upkeep and maintenance of the clubhouse.
  • Assist head and assistant professionals in daily tasks.
  • Assist with tournaments, outings, and events.
  • Assist other crew members as needed/directed.
  • Perform other related work as required.

What do I need to apply?
  • Any training or experience that demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Physical strength and agility to perform the work.
  • Valid, lawful driver license may be required upon appointment.

What are the hours and duration?
Positions are for a fixed term from approximately February through December. Hours of operation are from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., Sunday through Saturday. Employees will work 2- to 8-hour shifts up to 40 hours per week. Actual schedule will vary throughout the season, including weekends and holidays, and will be coordinated with supervisor.
What are the physical and environmental factors?
This position involves frequent walking and standing for extended periods, regular operation of golf carts and repetitive tasks such as loading and unloading range balls. It requires the ability to lift and carry items weighing 30+ lbs., work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, rain, cold), and navigating uneven or slick terrain such as turf, gravel, or pavement. The role may include occasional exposure to loud noises, and interaction with the public in potentially stressful or fast-paced situations.

If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
