POSITION SUMMARY: This position is based out of Dallas Fort-Worth, TX.  


Pay Class: FPI


Pay Starting at $18.00-20.00


What is a Patrol Officer? A Security Patrol Officer ensures the safety and security of the establishment under guard. The security officer ensures that all facility areas are secured, does regular patrols, routine inspections, and monitors the premises, and logs in daily reports for management to assess. The Security Patrol Officer's role is vital for the continued performance of an establishment as it prevents crime, stealing, and other heinous acts that may severely affect a company's operations.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Security patrol officers play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security. They patrol assigned sites, on foot or using vehicles, to identify unsafe conditions, hazards, and security violations. Their responsibilities also include responding to emergencies, providing first aid, and ensuring compliance with company policies. They conduct routine patrols, monitor surveillance equipment, and enforce property management rules. Their duties extend to writing reports of daily activities and irregularities, and they often assist local law enforcement in resolving illegal activities.


  • Conduct security in assigned patrol areas and ensures that any suspicious activity within given area is reported to appropriate officials.
  • Enforce facility rules and procedures securing the facility and designated areas all while providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintained alertness while on post.
  • Delegate needs and prioritize staff response to emergency situations while maintaining accurate records of daily operations.
  • Performed property protection, public safety, patrol, access control, communications, and investigation/surveillance.
  • Train new employees on post on job duties, and the functions of the job apps that are needed such as Thermes, etc. when needed. 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A great Patrol Officer will be able to act fairly, handle sensitive information, be discreet, honest, and lead by example

    • Respond to calls for service, assess incidents, and assist people in distress
    • Investigate criminal incidents and other suspicious activities
    • Patrol assigned area to detect criminal activity, traffic violations, and enforce laws, regulations, and ordinances.
    • Intervene in civil disputes, mediating hostile situations to prevent violence and disturbance.
    • Maintain records of patrol activities, ensuring all logs, reports and paperwork are accurately filled out and submitted.
    • Apprehend violators, detain suspects when necessary.
    • Promote a general awareness of safety and public service.

    LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION: Driver’s license, social security card or birth certificate, and any other certification (guard/clearance card, applicable state/local gun/Armed Guard permit, OC permit Baton permit, CPR, First Aid.)


    WORKING CONDITIONS: With or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions. In addition to other demands, the demands of the job include:

    • Work is performed inside and outside the property with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situations.
    • Shift work required.
    • Ability to remain on post up to four (4) consecutive hours without eating, drinking, or relieving bladder/bowels.
    • Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping, up to 12 hours per day, either indoors or outdoors, during daytime or nighttime.
