Job description
Join our dynamic team in Manhattan as a key player in the technical design process for intimate apparel. This role offers the opportunity to work onsite in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the highest standards of fit and comfort are met.
Responsibilities- Execute the technical design process from development to final fit.
- Analyze and evaluate garments to develop correct fit specifications.
- Ensure products meet established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities, and cost specifications.
- Develop technical specifications and communicate fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections.
- Make necessary adjustments with factories to maintain design integrity while monitoring quality and price.
- Direct and guide Assistant or Associate Technical Designers.
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in technical design with intimates/apparel.
- Proficiency in Centric, Excel, Illustrator, Flex PLM, etc.
- Experience in conducting fittings, writing fit comments, and pattern correction.
- Flexible and problem-solving mindset.
- Supportive and maintains composure in stressful situations.
- Approachable, empathetic, and agile.
- Ability to work collaboratively and find solutions to challenges.
- Work Schedule: 4-5 days a week, 32 hours per week.
- 100% onsite in Manhattan.
- Company computer provided.
