Logistics & Process Improvement Manager

We’re looking for a Logistics & Process Improvement Manager to lead and centralize logistics operations across Porta Kleen while identifying opportunities to improve how work, equipment, materials, and information move throughout the organization.

This is not a traditional distribution or warehouse-focused logistics role. We’re looking for someone who understands logistics operations but also approaches problems with a process engineering and continuous improvement mindset. The right person will be comfortable getting into the operation, evaluating how work is currently being done, identifying inefficiencies, using data to understand root causes, and building better processes that can be standardized across multiple locations.

This role will connect dispatch, inventory, equipment, transportation, field operations, and other support functions while developing the processes, systems, KPIs, and standards needed to improve operational efficiency and scalability.

What You’ll Bring

• Operational logistics experience — Understanding of how people, equipment, materials, inventory, and transportation must work together to support field operations

• Technical aptitude — Strong mechanical or technical understanding with the ability to learn equipment, systems, and operational processes
• Root cause problem solving — Ability to move beyond immediate issues to determine why problems occur and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Cross-functional leadership — Ability to work across field operations, dispatch, maintenance, procurement, inventory, finance, and leadership to implement change

What You’ll Do

• Lead and improve logistics processes supporting dispatch, inventory, equipment, transportation, warehousing, shipping/receiving, and field operations
• Evaluate current logistics and operational workflows to identify bottlenecks, waste, unnecessary costs, process gaps, and opportunities for automation or standardization
• Conduct operational reviews and onsite process audits to understand how work is actually being performed and identify opportunities for improvement
• Develop standardized processes that improve the movement and availability of equipment, materials, inventory, and resources across multiple locations
• Coordinate equipment availability, fleet positioning, material readiness, and job-site sequencing to support field operations and customer commitments
• Lead root cause investigations into recurring operational issues, service failures, equipment availability concerns, inventory discrepancies, and process breakdowns
• Develop corrective and preventive actions and track results to ensure improvements are sustainable
• Create and maintain SOPs, workflows, process documentation, and training materials to establish consistent execution across locations
• Establish and track KPIs related to utilization, on-time performance, inventory accuracy, equipment readiness, cost, productivity, and overall process effectiveness
• Analyze operational data and trends to identify improvement opportunities and support business decisions
• Partner with field leadership to understand operational challenges and develop solutions that are practical for employees performing the work
• Work closely with operations, dispatch, procurement, maintenance, DOT, finance, and other support teams to improve overall operational readiness
• Evaluate current inventory processes and develop strategies to improve accuracy, availability, replenishment, and material flow
• Optimize warehouse and staging layouts where appropriate to improve efficiency, organization, and throughput
• Standardize receiving, shipping, staging, and inventory processes across locations
• Evaluate current technology and identify opportunities to improve visibility, reporting, forecasting, scheduling, and tracking
• Support the evaluation and implementation of logistics and operational technologies, including WMS, TMS, reporting, or other process-management systems
• Collaborate with leadership to forecast future labor, equipment, inventory, and logistics needs based on operational demand and company growth
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives from initial analysis through implementation, training, measurement, and follow-up

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred; Associate degree or equivalent experience will be considered
• 5+ years of experience in operations, process engineering, continuous improvement, logistics, field operations, or a related environment
• Experience analyzing and improving operational processes with measurable results
• Experience developing and implementing SOPs, KPIs, workflows, and standardized processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience performing root cause analysis
• Strong technical/mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the equipment and operational processes supporting Porta Kleen
• Experience working across multiple departments or locations to implement operational improvements
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both field employees and senior leadership
• Ability and willingness to travel to operational locations to observe processes firsthand and support implementation
