Job description
Step into a dynamic role within a supportive school environment as a skilled School Psychologist for the 2026/2027 academic year. This full-time, contract opportunity begins August 1st and extends year-round with a 12-month schedule. You’ll collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to advance student well-being, foster positive educational experiences, and address diverse learners’ needs. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping responsive, inclusive school communities.
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state certification or credential as a School Psychologist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience delivering psychological services in a K-12 school setting preferred
- Familiarity with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Response to Intervention (RTI), and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
- Strong skills in assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and individualized education plan (IEP) development
- Effective communicator and collaborator, comfortable working with students, teachers, staff, and families
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional ethics
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results
- Develop and monitor IEPs and behavior intervention plans
- Provide direct counseling to students individually and in groups
- Consult with staff and parents to deliver support strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to intervention planning
- Offer crisis prevention and response services as needed
- Support initiatives to promote students’ academic, social, and emotional growth
