The Strategic Accounts Manager - National Sales is responsible for initiating, managing, and expanding business development activities within Premier Packaging's Strategic Accounts portfolio. A Strategic Account is defined as a current National Account with significant opportunity for growth, partnership expansion, and long-term value creation.
This role partners closely with National Sales leadership, Strategic/National Sales Representatives, Corporate Sales Support, Marketing, and Cross-Functional Teams (CFT) to deepen client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and position Premier Packaging as a trusted, value-driven strategic partner at the highest levels of customer organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with National Sales leadership to identify Strategic Accounts and assess growth opportunities.
  • Assist in establishing annual goals, objectives, and growth strategies for Strategic Accounts.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion and effectively position Premier Packaging's value proposition, national programs, and solutions.
  • Present Premier's capabilities, offerings, and strategic value to executive and C-suite-level stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Sales Support and Marketing to develop best-in-class presentations and strategic account materials.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client priorities, challenges, and business objectives; align Premier's solutions accordingly.
  • Remain current on industry trends, new products, and emerging solutions relevant to strategic customers.
  • Support assigned National Sales Representatives and Executives in managing and growing Strategic Accounts.
  • For accounts directly managed, oversee inventory management, account performance, profitability, and overall account health.
  • Build and maintain strong, multi-level client relationships to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Establish strong internal relationships across Sales, Sales Support functions, and Cross-Functional Teams (CFT).
  • Assist in conducting SWOT analyses, business reviews, and strategic planning sessions for National and Strategic Accounts.
  • Partner internally with CFT to drive growth initiatives and expand Premier Packaging's footprint within existing accounts.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed documentation of all activities, opportunities, and customer interactions within Salesforce.

  • Proven experience managing complex customer relationships and strategic accounts
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Ability to manage workload amid competing priorities and distractions
  • Willingness and ability to travel for business as needed

Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Remote, corporate-based role
  • Travel required as necessary to support Strategic Accounts and National Sales initiatives
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods
