Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, gathering medical histories, performing physical examinations, and interpreting diagnostic tests to inform treatment decisions.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians to formulate and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring alignment with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices.
• Perform a range of procedures and minor surgical interventions, such as laceration repairs and splinting of fractures, under the guidance of attending physicians, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Educate patients about their medical conditions, treatment options, and necessary lifestyle modifications, promoting long-term health and wellness.
• Maintain meticulous and up-to-date patient records, documenting encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up care to ensure continuity of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will care for a diverse patient population that includes children, adults, and the elderly. The urgent care clinic caters to individuals with a wide spectrum of medical needs ranging from non-life-threatening injuries to acute illnesses requiring immediate attention. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is mandatory.
• Active state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Strong clinical acumen and the capability to operate independently within your scope of practice.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, emphasizing the importance of patient relationships.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an urgent care or emergency department setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 – $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
