Job description

As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a critical role in the planning, budgeting, and execution of industrial and commercial construction projects. The Electrical Estimator is responsible for producing accurate and detailed cost estimates that support successful project delivery from preconstruction through completion. We are seeking a self-motivated and reliable Electrical Estimator who can work independently, solve problems efficiently, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

The Electrical Estimator will perform electrical estimating for plan and spec and design-build projects, ensuring all labor, material, and equipment costs are thoroughly evaluated. A strong understanding of construction practices, industry standards, and current market conditions is essential for success in this role. The ideal Electrical Estimator will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting multiple project managers simultaneously.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical estimating experience as an Electrical Estimator, including design-build projects

  • Experience with industrial and commercial plan & spec and design-build construction

  • Strong knowledge of electrical estimating principles, cost estimates, and project cost management

  • Proficiency with estimating software, preferably Accubid / Accubid Anywhere

  • In-depth knowledge of NEC Code (2020 and prior) and engineering best practices

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to write and review detailed scope letters

  • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently

Responsibilities:
  • Support project managers by providing accurate and timely cost estimates

  • Perform detailed electrical estimating for industrial and commercial projects

  • Ensure all aspects of project costs are meticulously evaluated and managed

  • Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to develop complete estimates

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support successful project planning and execution
