about the position...

Power Design is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to help optimize and support our Workday environment across Payroll and Finance. You'll partner with business and IT teams to identify process gaps, translate business needs into solutions, and drive system and process improvements from discovery through implementation. We're looking for someone who knows Workday, understands Payroll and Finance processes, and can take ownership of a problem and see it through to the right solution.

• Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday and related Payroll and Finance processes.
• Manage and support Workday functionality, with a focus on Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
• Partner with Payroll, Finance, Accounts Payable, and IT to gather requirements, identify gaps, and recommend system and process improvements.
• Provide Workday operational support, including troubleshooting, reporting, access, data audits, and end-user training.
• Develop business requirements, process documentation, user stories, and test cases to support system enhancements and implementations.
• Collaborate with technical and QA teams to test, validate, and implement solutions.
• Maintain system documentation and ensure data integrity and confidentiality across Workday and related technologies.

here's what we're looking for...

• Bachelor's degree in a business, technical, finance, accounting, information systems, or related field required.
• 4+ years of experience in business analysis, systems administration, process improvement, systems implementation, or a related role.
• Workday system administration or configuration experience required, specifically with Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
• Experience with Workday Expenses, Projects, and/or Assets is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Payroll and Finance business processes.
• Proven ability to analyze processes, identify gaps, and translate business needs into effective solutions.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Jira and Confluence experience preferred.
