Potential Motion Health is excited to announce an opening for a Senior Physical Therapist to work full-time at our onsite rehabilitation facility located in Lakewood, New Jersey. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to join our dynamic team, utilizing advanced physical therapy techniques to provide exceptional care and promote optimal recovery for our diverse patient population. The expected salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, reflecting the depth of expertise we appreciate in our therapists.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our Lakewood facility, where you will work alongside a collaborative team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each patient's condition.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and are tailored to individual patient goals, utilizing innovative hands-on techniques and therapeutic exercises.
• Administer various treatment modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and manual therapy to facilitate pain relief and enhance recovery processes.
• Provide patient education on injury prevention, lifestyle modifications, and ergonomic strategies to promote long-term wellness, equipping patients with the knowledge to sustain their progress post-therapy.
• Continuously monitor and document patients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on measurable outcomes and feedback.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure comprehensive care, participating in case discussions and treatment coordination with other healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records including treatment interventions and outcomes, adhering to regulatory standards and organizational protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population consists of individuals recovering from various musculoskeletal conditions, including but not limited to back and neck pain, joint pain due to osteoarthritis, and post-surgical rehabilitation needs. Additionally, we cater to athletes looking to regain peak performance after injury, as well as elderly patients facing challenges in mobility and balance. Our diverse client focus allows our therapists to utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches to ensure individualized treatment that fosters recovery and enhances overall functionality.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Board certification from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting is required.
• Proven proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities and a keen interest in staying updated on current advancements in physical therapy.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively assess and address patient rehabilitation needs.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 1 year of experience is required, candidates with additional experience managing complex cases or specialized training in areas such as sports rehabilitation, geriatric care, or neurological disorders will be given preference.
