Work Environment

Situated in the stunning coastal community of Destin, Florida, our rehabilitation facility offers an onsite and personalized treatment approach. The work environment is designed to promote healing, equipped with modern therapy tools and spacious areas for both individual and group therapy sessions. You will work Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured schedule that balances work commitments and personal time.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your daily responsibilities will encompass a range of clinical and administrative tasks, including:

• Assessing patients by observing their movements, understanding their medical history, and identifying their functional capabilities to tailor treatment plans effectively.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that address the specific orthopedic issues of each patient while promoting recovery through specialized exercises and therapeutic techniques.
• Educating patients and their families about the recovery process, potential challenges, in-home exercises, and lifestyle modifications to enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
• Utilizing modalities such as massage, manipulation, and therapeutic exercises to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and facilitate healing.
• Tracking patient progress meticulously by maintaining detailed records and adjusting treatment plans based on observed outcomes.
• Collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals within our multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive care management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain disorders. Our diverse clientele ranges from athletes to older adults and individuals involved in everyday activities. The focus is on enhancing recovery, promoting independence, and ultimately improving their quality of life through tailored rehabilitation strategies.

Qualifications

To ensure the highest standard of care, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• An active Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and their families.
• Ability to observe closely and assess patient needs accurately.
• Capability to work with diverse personalities and tailor your approach to meet different patient attitudes and expectations.
• Knowledge of orthopedic treatment practices and current therapeutic modalities.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of experience is required, candidates with a background in an orthopedic outpatient setting will have a distinct advantage. Proven experience in developing and conducting rehabilitation programs tailored to various orthopedic conditions is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, complemented by a robust benefits package that includes:
