The AVP, Branch Projects Officer manages multiple projects independently and handles confidential business matters while supporting the Heads of Branch Banking with strategic and operational initiatives. Tasks include reporting, analyzing data, logistics, organization, calendaring, administrative duties, and other special projects.  The individual must be knowledgeable with the bank’s systems, programs, and processes; must possess strong organizational skills; and must be capable of handling multiple assignments and tasks simultaneously. This position will help drive execution of special projects while partnering with stakeholders throughout the Bank to advance key priorities and deliver meaningful business outcomes. The position may also assist other branch leadership roles, including area and branch managers, as directed by the Heads of Branch Banking. This position requires that the individual work in office, independently, and with minimal supervision. 

Ensures compliance within all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages special projects independently as assigned, either by directly performing the work or coordinating with third parties. Establishes project priorities, timeline, and success metrics to ensure the projects are successfully completed on schedule, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives
• Establish clear plans, manage timelines and dependencies, monitor progress, and ensure successful delivery of business outcomes. Projects may range from operational improvements and branch initiatives to Senior Leadership Administration support
• Acts as the staff lead for Branch Banking meetings by facilitating agendas, calendaring and logistics, preparing meeting materials, including slide decks and handouts, documenting key decisions, taking action items, and ensuring accountability through completion. Anticipate risks, elevate issues, and help stakeholders remain prepared for critical discussions and decision points
• Establish structure and discipline by maintaining documentation, monitoring commitments, identifying risks, and ensuring transparent communication and follow through. Help create scalable solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Assists with the hiring process for branch employees, including screening resumes, scheduling interviews for branch leadership, checking references, and coordinating with HR to complete the offer process
• Prepares dashboards, KPI analysis, and other reports to aid branch leadership with evaluating branch performance
• Assists with the preparation of new branches for opening by coordinating staffing, training, and ordering supplies
• Coordinates the branch employee review process
• Helps track deliverables, commitments, and deadlines for branch leadership positions
• Assists with client escalations, including directly working with clients to deescalate issues and coordinating calls/meetings with branch leaders when needed
• Acts as a resource to assist high profile clients to include relationships with large checking account balances that don’t already have a relationship manager assigned to them
• Arranges travel plans for branch leaders and employees
• Prepares other reports and materials for area and branch managers, as requested by the Heads of Branch Banking, that aid in performing their job duties
• Serves as a trusted advisor to branch leadership on operational, staffing, and client service matters
• Coordinates cross-departmental initiatives and is accountable for achieving project outcomes
• Minimum of 10 hours CRA volunteer hours per year. Volunteer hours are typically scheduled within business hours. This is compensable time and mileage is reimbursed
• Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility: None.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years’ branch operations experience in the financial services or banking industry
• Solid technology skills, including proficiency with Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Power Point) and banking software applications
• Strong organizational and time management skills with proven ability to prioritize and manage workload and to instill a sense of urgency in others as necessary to meet deadlines and goals
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

The incumbent in the course of performing this position frequently spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, operating basic business equipment, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, walking, standing, reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, client contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks, and frequent interruptions. The incumbent for this position will occasionally lift up to 15 pounds, pull, squat, kneel and reach. The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which they are free to move about at will. The work environment is typically quiet to a moderate noise level.

Travel: There will be occasional local, out-of-area, and overnight travel.
