Substitute DASD Natatorium (Pool) Recreation Supervisor

 

Reports To: Athletic Director

 

Job Overview:

 

The Substitute Natatorium (Pool) Recreation Supervisor (RS) will be responsible for the oversight of scheduled public activities/events assigned by the Athletic Director in the Derry Area School District Natatorium when the current Pool Recreation Supervisor is unavailable. This includes, but is not limited to, birthday parties, special events, Zumba, etc. Additional responsibilities may consist of scheduling lifeguards, oversight of lifeguards, ensuring all DASD rules are followed and supervision of renters. The reporting of facility needs or damages, consistently maintaining a high level of cleanliness within the facility, and ensuring the safety of all staff and patrons are some of the essential responsibilities of this (these) individual(s). 

 

Pay: $25 per hour

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

 
  • Maintain clean and safe space for students, staff, and patrons

  • Actively schedule and communicate with lifeguards 

  • Ensure patrons follow all DASD rules and regulations

  • Communicate with Athletic Director on a daily/weekly basis

  • Open and close the Natatorium potentially by oneself 

  • Adhere to all school policies and safety requirements, especially Board Policy 707 - Use of School Facilities

  • Provide feedback to the Athletic Director with any facility needs, concerns, or damage 

  • Coordinates with Athletic Director on the Facility Request system

  • All other duties as assigned by Administration

 

Qualifications:

 
  • High School Diploma (bachelors preferred) 

  • 1+ years of experience in facility management or related field

  • The ability to oversee high school or college-age students in a lifeguard role

  • Background and/or knowledge of a pool facility

  • Previously, currently, or the ability to become lifeguard certified (preferred)  

  • Availability on weekend mornings, afternoons, and evenings 

  • Punctual, personable, and reliable 

  • CPR/First Aid Certified

  • All required clearances for district employees

 

Athletics:
