Job description

Pool Safety Monitor

Currently seeking employees to work after-school hours and weekends mid August through mid September.

The pool safety monitor is responsible for providing safety and supervision to all patrons and guests who use the aquatics facilities. This position will fill the duties of front gate attendant and slide attendant. The position will work directly with the aquatics director.

Education, experience and requirements:

  • Successful completion of a background check.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • 16+ years of age.

Job tasks:

  • Always monitor and supervise swimmers to ensure their safety.
  • Actively enforce all pool rules.
  • Maintain cleanliness and all amenities in pool locker rooms including changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers.
  • Attend all regularly scheduled staff meetings and in-service training.
  • Report any safety issues immediately to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a courteous, polite, and helpful relationship with all members and guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Reports to:

  • Aquatics director, aquatics supervisors.
